Princeton Forrestal Village
Located in Princeton, NJ, Princeton Forrestal Village is a $115 million mixed-use project complete with a 300-room Marriott Hotel, 125 stores and restaurants totaling 200,000 square feet with an additional 200,000 square feet of office space above the retail space. The South and West campuses of the project were approved for a total of 800,000 square feet of office development. The award-winning design is innovative sporting one of the first open air shopping villages. Built in 18-months, under budget and on time, Merritt developed the project from start to finish by negotiating the land lease from Princeton University, securing all approvals, arranging financing, negotiating a management contract with the Marriott, leasing retail to 90% capacity and office to 70% capacity, running construction as their own general contractor, and managing the project through every stage.
