Redwood Tower

Redwood Tower, Baltimore, MDThe Redwood Tower is a 19-story, 212,000 square foot building in Baltimore, MD.  This $28 million office tower employed an air rights structure, which attained the goals to construct the new tower over an existing historic structure.  Merritt was instrumental in negotiating the air rights purchase, meeting unique construction challenges of an air rights structure using new construction technology, securing government approvals in a historic district, arranging debt and equity financing, and running construction as a general contractor.  The resulting design was efficient and included quality construction with nine corner offices per floor.  Merritt completed the project on time and on budget.
